NBA Website May Have Given Away Nickname of Oklahoma City Franchise

Oklahoma City's NBA franchise does not yet have a name, but the league's Web site may have provided a clue in that process.

The NBA released its 2008-09 schedule, and parts of the schedule on the NBA's Web site directed users to NBA.com/Thunder, a nonexistent site.

Other teams' Web sites have their team name listed after the slash in the address, but the relocated SuperSonics have been using NBA.com/OklahomaCity.

Clay Bennett's Professional Basketball Club LLC ownership group has applied for a trademark for six names, including the Thunder.
